HOTEL SOGO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program started in 1998 as a group of concerned individuals seek help from Hotel Sogo to donate linens, pillow cases, and bath towels to the indigent-affected individuals after a strong tropical depression hit the country. Since then, Hotel Sogo’s CSR program continuously extends its humanitarian services to the community – aptly named as “Sogo Cares” with a slogan of “We Bridge Gaps to Build Better Communities”.

Bannering the Sogo Cares program is the Doctors-on-Wheels (DOW) that focuses on providing free medical consultations,
laboratory examinations and medications to underserved communities throughout the Philippines.
The DOW is a
mobile medical air-conditioned bus that is equipped and furnished with examining beds, 10 examining chairs,
medical/examination lights and other equipment to be used for medical missions.
The DOW already reached and provided medical assistance to remote areas of Pangasinan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac,
Bataan, Zambales, Bicol and Iloilo.
It is manned by volunteer doctors, nurses, optometrists, pharmacists, social workers from partner LGUs and and NGOs,
and employees of Hotel Sogo fulfilling their part to help the needy.

Under the roster of the Sogo Cares, are also different advocacies and
humanitarian activities such as the ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM.
Adopt-a-Family is a yearly Christmas special program wherein the company
encourages its branches to adopt one family in their branch in celebration of Christmas season.
The chosen family will be eligible to an overnight stay and free-of-charge meal together with the
branch manager/supervisor.

The PNP Heroes Assistance Program seeks to recognize and boost the morale of PNP personnel through financial assistance wherein the company allocates to qualified recipients, specifically to wounded, injured, disabled and deceased police personnel in the course of police operations.
