BARYA MO, PAG-ASA KO SOGO CARES WORK OF HOPE

There are many lessons that the ongoing pandemic has taught us; the most important is the power of giving. Filipinos are known to be one of the happiest people globally and one of the most resilient ones due to the outpouring number of calamities that happen year after year –from typhoons to landslides and earthquakes, to name some. But one noticeable characteristic of Filipinos is their initiative to offer a helping to those in need.

One of our goals is to make the Sogo Cares program go beyond by simply giving donations and helping others in need to a larger platform wherein everyone, from different walks of life, can help, donate, and bring joy to ones life. We want our simple initiative to inspire and to be able to motivate people to help others. Ms. Sue Geminiano, Hotel Sogo Marketing Manager, stated.

Sogo Cares coin bank project Barya Mo, Pag-asa Ko aims to create a positive impact on the lives of children in need by involving the guests through simple way of dropping their loose change or extra coins so they can help even in this time of pandemic.

The coin banks are placed among Hotel Sogos 41 branches nationwide, wherein anyone from guests, patrons, and passersby can enter the hotel and donate any generous amount at the front desk.

The proceeds from this coin bank will be used to buy a COVID-19 care kit for the affected children within the area of responsibility of Hotel Sogo branches.

Hotel Sogo has been active in providing help through donations such as clothing, food, linens, and bath towels since 1998. With the companys dedication to helping more indigent Filipinos, Hotel Sogos CSR Program continuously grows. It engages people to lend a hand to this program as it pushes everyone to give hope to the less fortunate.
