Sogo Cares initiative to Typhoon Fabian victims

SOGO Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of Hotel Sogo, assisted the families and communities devastated by Typhoon Fabian in Barangay Bagong Silangan, District II, and Nagkaisang Nayon, District V, Area IX, Quezon City. They have provided Sogo Cares packs ( rice, sardines, noodles, and coffee), towels, and linens for more than 500 affected families.

The donation was successful with the help of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Joint Task Force NCR, 1502nd Quezon City Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade, Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Team of Philippine National Police, Brgy. Captain Sonny Dela Cruz of Nagkaisang Nayon, Brgy. Captain Wilfredo Lorenzo Cara of Bagong Silangan, and Hotel Sogo Group HR Manager Reynald Ryan D. Barrion, FPM.

Sogo Cares started in 1998 as a group of concerned individuals seek help from Hotel Sogo to donate linens, pillowcases, and bath towels. Since then, Hotel Sogos CSR program continuously extends its humanitarian services to the community with a slogan of "We Bridge Gaps to Build Better Communities."

"Through Sogo Cares, we will continue to create a positive impact by giving back to society," stated Mr. Barrion.
